establishing a tradition, year two

Is there a rule of thumb over how many times something should be done for it to be considered a tradition?  As far as family traditions go, I have to admit this one is in its infancy... read about year one here... but I am hopeful it will continue! Apparently, lessons from last year were not learned. It had been suggested last year that we do a Sint breakfast instead -- that somehow that would mean less overindulgence -- but that seems unlikely really. This was the menu, which was supposed to be a "simpler" one than the last:

Sinterklaas Menu Year II

Grandma's varenyky (potato and cottage cheese)
varenyky (mushroom)
Oma's beets
Oma's potato salad
Oma's cucumber salad
nasi goreng
fried bananas
kroepoek
meatballs
paprika sauce
fried parsnips

and..

Grandma's Fudge Cake

As always, the best part is being all together!
