on the 2nd day of December my blogger gave to me ...

 4 warming soup suggestions!

Is it cold where you are? Are you tired and hungry and can't stand the thought of making dinner? Do you have a crowd to feed (lucky you!)? Maybe there's something here to fill the bill! All these are, incidentally, vegan -- which means they're good for anyone but, as soup is possibly the most versatile of all foods, can easily be customized for carnivores, pescatarians, those with food allergies or just plain picky eaters!

Roasted Butternut Squash soup -- I added a few potatoes to mine. She has plenty of other soup ideas on her blog; this is the only one I've tried myself though.

Red Lentil Taco soup -- I have no recollection of how I found this one, but it's been starred as a favourite in my Pepperplate recipe box so I know it was really good! Plus, I love the carrot eating dinosaur on her blog header!

Creamy Tahini and Lemon Asparagus soup -- Tahini and asparagus; how could you go wrong here?

Sweet Potato Tom Kha -- spicy AND sweet -- which also describes the man candy on their blog. Did I just say "man candy"? Really? I have no idea where that came from.

Have some suggestions to add? That's what comments are for! See ya again tomorrow!

Me too, starting with the Red Lentil Taco soup tonight. One of our all time favorites, which came from The Dog by the way, is Ginger Noodle Soup. Num num.
