Sinterklaas greetings!

Today is St. Nicholas Day -- a special day in oh so many cultures. Our own celebration of Sinterklaas has really evolved over the years. It's now not about treats in shoes by the fireplace but rather a wonderful reason to gather, cook and eat together. This year, we opted for Indonesian Rijstaffel (literally a "rice table") and it was all overseen by the stately saint himself:


Tis the season to reap the rewards of a rich and varied heritage!

    I like how the focus of your celebration has evolved to the experiential and relational. That, after all and in the end is what it is all about. Time together.
