everything old is new again
Just wanted to share a few things that fit in with DoOverDog's theme:
I recommend watching this 7-minute video about the 17-year cycle of the cicada -- it's a pretty amazing story of rebirth / resurrection. This video is just a preview of a full-length documentary project which is currently seeking crowd-funding on kickstarter.com. If you're not sure what crowd-funding (or kickstarter) are all about, take a few clicks around the site! Although it's a "new" phenomenon, it's actually a very old way to raise money (think Mozart and Twain) -- another thematic link!
Now I want you to "look up, waaaay up" (remember The Friendly Giant ?), to the top right corner of the page, where something new has appeared! It's a link to the dog's "instagram" -- this addictive app takes photos from my phone and makes them look like old-time polaroids. So check in there from time to time to see what my phone sees!

That was an amazing video. Actually, they both were. The Friendly Giant sure takes me back.
ReplyDeleteTwo suggestions for your consideration:
1. Please post an Instagram of Your Dog
2. Add anything by the author Alix Ohlin to your Nightstand.
