just like a 1970s comedy-drama

A family member admitted recently that when she heard us talk about "the cabin" she always pictured something from "Bonanza".

The Ponderosa Ranch it isn't! Which means that it doesn't take much to go from "cosy" to "crowded". While building a guest house is not an option, The Engineer came up with a brilliant solution which can be erected in under an hour by two people and a Dog Supervisor:

Step 1: lay out support poles and corner pieces (as directed by The Dog)

Step 2: assemble the roof

...looks good so far..

Step 3: lay the tent over top

Step 4: and lift

If it looks like the Dog Supervisor is not paying much attention anymore, don't worry, we were also under the watchful eye of this guy:

Step 5: almost done

Step 6: add the tarp

At this point we felt it looked less like an iconic 70s Western and more like.... well, you get the picture:

Fabulous!! I wanna stay there too some day. Obviously it wouldn't have turned out as nice without the Dog Supervisor though. By the way, your hanging basket sure grew a lot since we enjoyed the pleasure of your company! xo

    1. It got down to 1.6C the night we slept in it... in August! Definitely need a volunteer to keep the wood stove in it going through the night.
